After browsing Abduzeedo for tutorials in photoshop, i found this gem. I think vintage type fonts/styles are beautiful, and I'd love to master creating that. Specifically in this article it mentioned that with vintage styles it needs to have a big color contrast so it stands out more, and to do so you lower the saturation and the lightness, and change the output values until the logo stands out the way you want.
